LAUGHTER YOGA WORKSHOP

Join BYS Teacher April Frazier for an event of peace, love and play! Laughter Yoga is a joy-based stress relief program that cultivates playfulness in groups. Laughter yoga combines interactive laughter exercises with deep breathing and calming breathing. Laughter Yoga has been shown to reduce stress, improve your immune system and increase endorphins. Lets play and laugh together!
April Frazier has studied yoga and mindfulness with a focus on inner healing and self-acceptance for the past five years. In 2010 she was certified in her 200 HR teacher Dharma Yoga certification and has since brought yoga into under-performing schools as a means of social justice and peace. Prior to being a yoga instructor, April was a middle school teacher at an under-served school in the South Bronx and believes that yoga and mindfulness can have a great impact with students. April is currently studying at the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Columbia University where she is combining education, entrepreneurship and mindfulness. She is certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, a mindfulness practice focusing on healing trauma in young people.
